About

I was born and currently reside in Atlanta, GA. I hold a Master’s in Applied Linguistics from Georgia State University. My studies here sparked my interest in communicative language learning and exploring the way people learn. My MA included coursework on theory and practice of teaching, advanced grammar and pronunciation . During my MA, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Beijing, China. This exciting experience led to living in China for 5 years, teaching at some of the countries top universities, such as Tsinghua University and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU).

My work with Moodle, wikis and collaborative online learning at XJTLU led her to further practices in eLearning. I strongly believes in professional development and lifelong learning as is evident by my conference participation and continuing education certifications. With the constant changing of technology and the world, we need to stay current and mobilize all the best tools and practices available to us.

Outside of the office, I am a mother to a wonderful 2-year-old, and I love to travel and eat local foods.
